- No review articles, single-case reports, or case series will be accepted.
- Encore presentations will be accepted but will not be eligible for awards or publication in Pharmacy Practice in Focus: Oncology; therefore, these must be disclosed as such upon submission. Encore submissions are defined as previously presented or published elsewhere, prior to being presented at OPC 2026. Abstracts and posters must indicate where they were originally presented.
- Notification of acceptance status will be delivered via email to the presenting author of each poster abstract by mid-May 2026. Presenting authors must inform any coauthor(s) of acceptance. Please note that the presenting author is required to be registered and present during the poster presentation session.
- All accepted abstracts will be presented as traditional poster boards on Thursday, June 18, 2026. Presenters are responsible for transporting, hanging, and taking down their own posters. The presentation at OPC 2026 should reflect the submitted abstract, abstract title, authorship, and content.
- If accepted for presentation, original abstracts will be published in the Pharmacy Practice in Focus: Oncology journal.
- Previously presented (encore) abstracts will not be published in Pharmacy Practice in Focus: Oncology
- If an author does not want the abstract published after the meeting, they must indicate that during submission.
- The organizing committee reserves the right to accept or decline any submission. Incomplete abstracts will not be reviewed.
- The organizing committee reserves the right to not publish abstracts that do not fit into any of the review categories; abstracts that inappropriately promote commercial interests; abstracts that are judged unethical, poorly written, or scientifically unsound; or abstracts considered inappropriate for publication for other reasons as determined by the organizing committee.

- Progress can be saved while completing the abstract template, but please note that abstracts cannot be revised once submitted.
- The limit is 2500 characters (including abstract body; spaces; and 1 table, graph, or figure).
- Only abstracts with completed research will be accepted.
- The title of the abstract should be brief (maximum of 75 characters) and should objectively describe the study. Do not use nonstandard abbreviations and commercial names (use generic names only). Use title case and capitalize all nouns, verbs, adverbs, and conjunctions of 4 letters or more. Do not capitalize a coordinating conjunction, an article, or a preposition of 3 or fewer letters, except when it is the first or last word in a title. Keep letters lowercase if the lowercase letters have a specific meaning, such as pH or mL. Do not put a period at the end of the title.
- First Author (Presenting Author): The name, institution (including city and state or country), and email address of the first author are required. The first author (presenting author) will receive all future correspondences from PTCE.
- Abstracts should be structured in such a way as to include the following sections:
- Background: An introductory paragraph indicating the purpose of the study
- Material and Methods: A brief description of pertinent experimental procedures
- Results: A summary of the results of the research
- Conclusions: A statement of the main conclusions
- Standard abbreviations may be used and must be spelled out and defined at the first use (put in parentheses immediately after the first mention of a term or phrase). Compounds should be mentioned with the generic name and should be in lowercase letters. Commercial names may be included in the abstract text in parentheses, directly following the generic name at first use. For example, "generic (Commercial).” Do not use trademark symbols.
- The abstract must be submitted in English.
- Waives any and all claims against PTCE, sponsor of the OPC 2026 Conference, and any review arising out of or relating to the abstract submission and review process, including but not limited to peer review and the grading of abstracts.
Call for Abstracts
The co-chairs of OPC 2026 invite you to submit your abstracts for this year's conference, to be held June 18-19, 2026, in Austin, Texas. If the submission is received by February 27, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET and is accepted, the applicant will be eligible for a complimentary two-night hotel stay. Attendance for the entirety of the conference is mandatory for presenters accepting the stipend.
All poster abstract submissions must be made electronically through the conference’s online abstract submission system. Abstracts submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Authors will be required to disclose all financial relationships with ineligible companies through the online system to ensure quality and unbiased presentations. The formal poster session is not eligible for ACPE credit.
